Upgrading to Livefyre 3.52

In my last post I’ve introduced WordPress Plugin from Livefyre. Now here is the latest version of it. The latest version seems to bring all the features I mentioned there.

Summary

Pro

I like new buttons
I like rich editing.
I like additional linkedIn integration
I do like automatical picture rendering from flickr.
I like new drop down menu with: “Edit profil, Admin.., logout”

Contra

I dislike that now is taken longer to be rendered for the first time.
I dislike how ugly it rendered without java script.
Typing @ is not working anymore!!
@ sign do not show twitter contacts. :(
“-Unfollow” simply do not work.

Unfortunately 3.52 seems not to be production ready now :( Just to many bugs.

Update 2015: I don’t use Livefyre anymore. Update 2016: I Livefyre already dead?

@Dhara Mistry you was right. Now new functionality is seen here which is very nice. but there is also something i dislike:now is take longer to be rendered for the first time.I dislike how ugly it rendered without java script.

shuron Could you tell me a bit more about what is happening when you try to mention people from Facebook, Livefyre, and Twitter with the @ symbol? Livefyre support Dharait and JMattHicks can help.

meghankrane shuron Dharait JMattHicks First @ sign do not work as [AltGr +Q] combination which is normal on German Keyboard Layout. That ist what intially disapointed me. With english style [Shift+2] it works better. Now it works even very good on thith machine, shows me all desrited twitter and FB contacts (Windows XP, Latest Firefox) When i click on @ Button, I see only a smallsubset of my contacts. This subset a) small b) seems to be random choosed.Thank you for you reaction.

meghankrane as i shared the message abowe some 'oops something goes wrong' message appeared. It was red .It was not well rendered on curent WP Template here.

Another issue. If i do replay to a message, all before mentioned people appear in the textbox. Ans when i select just some of them like shown in the picture below: http://alexander.holbreich.... and then hit Backspace everything is deleted even not selected parts.

meghankrane shuron Dharait JMattHicks another bug is 'my last conversation'. Yet i have added only a media (picture to the blog). I' dont wannt it to be shown as my latest conversations. Only my Blog posts.

tonygreene113 Removed spam reference in your answe. Hope it wa snot desired. Great it the atumatical Flickt understanding. It renders Flickt links to pictures. And it renders flickr Set to a gallery inside of the comment. That ist great event it does not fit to my atual WP-theme.

tonygreene113 I know, Cutoff line bug due to incompability to WP Theme. Will fix it soon.
